More than EUR 66 million now allocated to EUSBSR flagships

New flagships were approved by the Group of National Coordinators of the EUSBSR at the end of June. Eight of these are funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Programme. These eight new flagships include in particular transport projects and add to the 17  earlier designated flagships funded by the Programme. The Programme currently funds 25 flagship projects all together.

These designated projects cover twelve out of 17 policy areas and horizontal actions of the EUSBSR. An overview of the projects is now available on the Programme website.

The implementation of the EUSBSR is financed by different national and EU funds. One of them is Interreg Baltic Sea Region which stimulates cooperation between regions in Europe using funds of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
